Energy club BG tariff and existing BG customer
I'm already a BG customer but thought I'd take advantage of the MSE group tariff.
However the energy club's switch form asks for details such as direct debit which leads me to believe a new account may be set-up with the provider.
I've good reason to be cautious after a bad experience with BG customer service last year (dealing with billing on a probate property).
A similar hassle wouldn't make the projected £80 saving worth it!
How does the process work if I am switching via energy club but I'm already a BG customer? Many thanks.

I have the same question as an Octopus customer who could benefit from the 10 month Fix.....Over £2K made from bank switches and P2P incentives since 2016 :beer:0

The MSE group tariff has gone now. So I am going to stick my existing BG tariff until it expires next Feb.0

I'm expecting to move house within the next month or 2. Does anyone know if I sign up to a BG "collective switch" tariff whether BG would allow me to take it with me to my new home (I have checked and BG do offer energy tariffs to my new home)?0

So can anyone confirm the BG offer has officially expired?0

Willberry said:I am an existing BG customer. I signed up for this tariff last night and completed the form. I can confirm that BG do NOT set up a new account but simply adjust the Direct Debit on the existing account (which you can change on your account page). Checked ny BG account a few hours ago and all set up. I adjusted my DD as I like to pay a bit higher than they ask. Easy peasy.
Thanks. I logged in again and BG tariff is once again visibile. When I looked this morning, only the other two collective tariffs were there. I have now switched.0
