Damaged Knee at Restaurant table

Yesterday I went into a newly opened Restaurant (part of chain) and banged my left Knee on a very sharp edge under the table. I'm still feeling the effects today.

I wish to write an email/letter to record the incident incase I suffer long term effects in months or years ahead. I think I have chipped a bit off my knee cap.

And so they can do some corrective action to prevent anyone else having the same issue (hopefully)

I'm not really after compo now, but if I do suffer in the long term I want it recorded.

Just wondered if anyone had any tips?

Thanks

Just state the issue to them, ideally adding why you didnt mention it at the time and simply dont mention about compensation.

As important is getting to see a doctor and have it investigated on if you have actually caused a material injury or if its just a minor soft tissue damage that will pass in a few days/couple of weeks depending on your age/fitness

Have you attended hospital or doctor
Compo is also dependent on age and getting a specialist opinion

There was a good point from AI to say why it wasn’t mentioned at the time.

I thought the point about the foam was silly. Both using it and telling them to.

For those not used to writing letters, then it’s not a bad start, just remove the extra words AI seams to add

Also, AI can assist with spelling mistakes (it seems that way to me)  😉 👍

  • Hmm...the table didn't fall on your knee. Your knee hit the table.

That was my point, the subsequent poster presumably used it in the prompt for the bot

It didn't hit the table top.  All I expect under the table are some table legs.
I don't expect a box section, with sharp pointed corners.

Were you with company?  Di anyone else have a problem?

Do you know of anyone else who has damged their knee on one their tables?

Not all table legs are directly on the corner, but are set in underneath.

If you think you have chipped  a bit off your kneecap you need to get that investigated now, not wiat years to see if it leads to problems. It will be toolate then.
