    The Beko technician attended yesterday. I expected to be given a speech on how I had failed to maintain the machine correctly, but surprisingly, the technician was quite pleased that the cleaning was adequate. He performed diagnostics on the machine that did not yield any faults of interest. He did a "reset" on the electronics and will replace the printed circuit boards in a week's time.

    He said that vented and condenser dryers will be phased out shortly. He also noted that heat pump dishwashers are entering the market.

    Thank you, QrizB. Yes, it is positive. Since the mechanical components are in order, it seems sensible to proceed with the controls. I don't expect this to be successful.
