    How wide is the gap? Anything over about 5mm is a bit big for just caulk so would need filling with something first. The joints between wall and ceiling regularly seem to open up in some buildings. If using caulk, don't buy the cheapest you can get as it tends to set hard and isn't flexible so will open up again. Something like painters mate will be more flexible and less likely to crack again.


    I always fit coving now as it gives you a nice square edge to paint to. In the past I used plaster coving but supercove is so easy to work with and I can get a room done in no time with no mess. It has the same appearance as plaster coving too.
