Should I use Equiniti to sell shares?

I've download the 'Certificate transfer forms' and the 'Crest transfer forms' from the iWeb site. So I'll take it from there.

I Xferred Certificated Lloyds Banking Group shares a few months ago. I’ll root out my thread on the process if you’re interested. Contains useful info from other posters.benny5 said:I've download the 'Certificate transfer forms' and the 'Crest transfer forms' from the iWeb site. So I'll take it from there.

Appreciate that.
Sent mine off yesterday, together with another share holding I need to unload, (RM Tracked) delivered this morning so just waiting for the process to be completed.
Surprised by postal charges of £10.25.0 -
All documents have now been processed and some sales executed, all pretty painless.
Got a question though. As I understand it, iWeb are predominantly a share dealing service, whereas Equiniti is predominantly a share register service. Therefore, can I leave the transferred shares with iWeb indefinitely with dividends paid into that A/C in the same way as they were with Equiniti?
I need to delay further sales to minimise CGT liability.

Yes you can just leave the shares in your iWeb account and any dividends should also now get paid into that account cash balance. Then sell whatever quantity you want whenever it suits your circumstances.benny5 said:All documents have now been processed and some sales executed, all pretty painless.

You can keep the dividends as cash in your iWeb account and withdraw or reinvest manually, have them automatically reinvested or have them automatically paid away to your nominated current account.benny5 said:All documents have now been processed and some sales executed, all pretty painless.
