    I would be contacting the local authority and asking for joint meeting to be arranged where you can all sit down together to discuss what the options are with all the information on the table.
    disputes like this are solved through communication and mediation. Because if it has to go to the court protection, which is the ultimate route, The power of attorney could be cancelled completely.
