UKPC Appeal Decision

Sorry to bother you all with something you've heard before.
I looked at the guides at the top of the forum and couldn't find the answer.

I had a PCN from UKPC about staying longer than I should have by 13 minutes.  Then I got a Final reminder letter with increase to £100 2 weeks later.

Since receiving the final remainder, I have appealed the PCN (within the 28 days) via online form and got an "appeal confirmation email back" to say that they would reply within 28 days and they haven't.

I never got an email or letter response to say whether the appeal was rejected or not.

The dept then increased to £170 whilst I still waited for the appeal decision, first a letter from ZZPS then GCTT recently.

If this goes to the solicitors next what do I do?  Will the fact that they didn't respond to my appeal and increased the dept to £170 with the dept collectors stop them from following through with a court claim against me?  Would they still win? I've complained to UKPC twice now about not having had a decision on the appeal.

Thanks

UKPC tend to use bulk litigators DCB Legal and discontinue their claims once defended.

As you've complained to UKPC you can now escalate the complaint to the BPA AOS team.

Complained not appealed. The timeline - a slight delay - doesn't matter a jot.

Carry on with life and ignore the debt demands.

  • I've had a response from UKPC Ltd just now regarding my complaint.  It says that they respond to my appeal (which they denied) to my preferred method of contact which they say was email and that given the information I provided they would reduce payment to £50.

Does this mean I've not got a leg to stand on now?

Are they meant to send out a letter via post too?  I'm sure I never received anything via email

Emails can go into your inbox,  or tend to go into the spam folder,  which is still your email account

They would usually email the response,  not posted,  so the fact that you have not seen it doesn't mean that it didn't arrive in your email account,  which is probably where it arrived,  in your spam  ( unauthorised   ) folder

We dont respond to the "leg to stand on" missive,  because that is for a judge to decide in court,  if it gets that far

Everyone has a defence,  be it good, average,  or bad  !

Even people who have no legs can stand up for themselves

Why on earth do you think you should pay it? Just complain to the BPA now.
