Facebook, not seeing latest posts.

Facebook wants you to see what it wants you to see.

What you actually want to see and what Facebook shows you are two entirely different things.

I periodically get just page after page of irrelevant adverts - for example this morning, it's probably 80/20 adverts vs. actual content. For some reason I'm getting lots of ads for pet insurance and other pet-related stuff (I don't have any pets) and for compensation lawyers for various car makes with "emissions scandals". If I hit "Hide Ad" then "Irrelevant", that's fine, but then more come up. I find I can get away with choosing "Hide all ads from this company" about three or four times before there's a coincidental "Sorry, something went wrong" message.

I run FB Purity. If I leave it a few hours and go back it, in probably won't do it, until next time.

Go to the left hand side of the page. Go down to feeds (you may need to click "See More" to get to it). Click on that. Then click on Friends. Your friends posts will then appear. You can do the same thing for groups as well. Facebook just assumes everyone are too lazy to want this so spam everybody with the main feed. Give it a try and see if it works for you.

I'll occasionally scroll the main feed, but usually use Feeds to view posts from pages I follow, then friends.
