IAS. and PCN appeal failed

Hi all
Hope some can help?
Recently had PCN and ISA failed appeal, wondering what to do next !
Given my parking ticket because ANPR camera failed to record my ticket which I have that shows I have paid on the times in question. The ticket did not show my full reg number dispite me putting it in , and I never checked, therefore did not regester with ANPR camera and registered as not paid.
That is the reason for failing my appeal because I did not adhere to terms and conditions as printed on signage , they accept in principle that I made payments and my ticket only contains the last 3 digits of my reg . It is quite obvious from the photo that appears on the ANPR camera that it's my vehicle.! What do you all think please

Parking ticket machines are notorious for failures like that, very common

Paid in full tends to hold sway with judges,  especially if the defendant states that they put in the full and correct registration details

The claimant is unlikely to win in court,  if it gets that far

    Which parking company please?

You shouldn't have wasted your time on the IAS, which (and its ownership) shows is neither impartial nor independent. Ignore them. It's considered bent.

Please post the IAS decision here:

Depends how they made their claim!

If they used DCB Legal they'd discontinue the claim anyway.

If they did it in-house and it went all the way to a hearing they'd have to disprove what you state. The opposite of the IAS where you have to disprove the parking company.

If they put the time and effort into making a claim themselves they pick them carefully. They'll know they are issuing a lot of tickets for this location and will know the machine must be faulty. Why make an in-house court claim when you can just keep quiet and issue lots of PCNs. On the other hand they can use DCB Legal for these ones because they know they'll never go in front of a judge.

  • The company that issued the PCN is  PPS Premier parking solutions , do you think it's worth contacting them as suggested by IAS. Within  28 days  ?

The IAS wants you to contact them in order to pay, nothing else!  Await a court claim, if one comes. Ignore any debt collector letters, they're just a nuisance, but entirely harmless.

If you do receive a Letter Of/Before Claim from the PPC's solicitors, or a County Court Claim via the Northampton CNBC, come back to this thread for further advice. To get ahead of the curve, you could prepare yourself with a bit of gentle reading of the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, second post, and the Template Defence Announcement, both situated near the top of the forum thread list.
