    As above, either trust the system or pay it in to virgin money at a post office and then transfer electronically to your chase account if you want

    Nationwide love living in the past for some reason. 

    You can't pay in cheques over £1000 with the Virgin money app, you can pay them in at the post office, do you have one near you? Alternatively you could open an account with Halifax and pay it in with the aop (they accept up to £10000).Some people might say that's a bit over the top but it could well be the easiest and quickest solution.

    Many years ago I paid a co-op bank cheque into my local co-op bank over the counter to a human being. That cheque got lost never to be seen again. I think that beats getting lost in the post!

    Good idea; as you'd expect, Lloyds and BoS as well. It's good LBG is up to a decent limit.
