I think pushing this onto business sellers might be an issue as they have tax and VAT and things to account for , but yes, i agree I can see a possibility that there will be an opt in perhaps at some point. I would certainly be interested on my business account, but admittedly that is a very small business nowadays.
If eBay make money out of simply delivery I can see it filtering through to business accounts, possible voluntarily to begin with and possibly becoming mandatory in certain categories (may be with certain sellers being exempt, perhaps those who use eBay's fulfilment or are classed as authorised sellers).soolin said:
Thank goodness- the majority of my business stock is now LL so it keeps it at a fairly reasonable price. I almost wish though that I could use simple delivery for some of the last remaining parcel size items on my business account as it's cheaper and also I don't have to worry about losses or late items.goodfella66 said:Nice to see large letters not increasing in price
My only caveat would be that they fix the issue of combined postage.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. How do these prices compare to other couriers? Halving the compensation for tracked seems harsh

I plan to sell some vases that will sell for about £120 to £145 each.
Plan was to use Tracked 48 hours with comp up to £150.
Now as package will weigh about 1.5KG would be to use SD with comp up to £750 at a cost of £14.25 instead of (with new prices) Tracked 48 at £3.55!
Like you I will look at other couriers.0 -
Be careful to check other couriers carefully, it’s very hard to find one that will offer any compensation for fragile items.Tax_Slave said:

Don't forget these price changes take effect on Monday- so if you print your own postage best to try and have all labels printed before about 8-9pm on Sunday when RM usually goes off line to be updated.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Just a note to everyone - their click and drop system has changed too if you use their online system. We've lost all of our 'favourited' postage services and they also require you to add extra information about you as an individual or business. Extra admin we could have done without!0
