Wow, they're really wanting people to use Tracked services over Signed For and even Standard (Tracked being just 5p above standard postage for small parcels and 10p for medium parcels)!0

The price difference between online and over the counter/stamps price is remaining high for parcels.
2KG small price online tracked 24 £4.65 tracked 48 £3.55
over the counter £5.40/£4.25
medium parcel 2kg is even worse:
online £6.25 £5.35
OTC £7.80 £6.90I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Nice to see large letters not increasing in price0

Thank goodness- the majority of my business stock is now LL so it keeps it at a fairly reasonable price. I almost wish though that I could use simple delivery for some of the last remaining parcel size items on my business account as it's cheaper and also I don't have to worry about losses or late items.goodfella66 said:Nice to see large letters not increasing in priceI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I think that sometimes too. It looks less time consuming as well.soolin said:

If eBay make money out of simply delivery I can see it filtering through to business accounts, possible voluntarily to begin with and possibly becoming mandatory in certain categories (may be with certain sellers being exempt, perhaps those who use eBay's fulfilment or are classed as authorised sellers).soolin said:

Oh please no, not unless they sort out automatic combined delivery. It's really cut my buying down of certain things.

Yeah that is a major downside, won an auction at the weekend, seller had two other auctions I would have bid on as well, before simply delivery I'd have expected to pay 1 postage rate of around £4 (as all 3 items would easily fit as a small parcel) but I have no idea what eBay would have charged (certainly wasn't going to pay 3 x 3.38 P&P) so didn't bid on the other two.Spoonie_Turtle said:

From the buyers point of view you could offer multi-buy, order volume discount or coupons to encourage bigger orders and just have free P&P but eBay would have to do something to combine the postage correctly, perhaps let the seller pick the label option after the sale?In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0
