Local bank branch closed, need to withdraw £3500. Post Office from what I read has a limit of £300 daily.

You could try contacting your bank. They are sometimes able to lift the limit as a one off.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Halifax is the branch0

Can you pay another way or is it so whoever you are paying can avoid paying tax?
I can't see what alternative there is other than travelling to a branch further away.1 -
Is there a Lloyds branch nearby? Halifax customers can now use those.Marvel1 said:Halifax is the branch

Do you have an account with any local bank? If so transfer the money there then go in branch and withdraw.
Or, If you have enough bank accounts and cards, transfer funds from Halifax to your other accounts and use ATM or post office to withdraw from each bank account. I find most ATMs allow £500 per day.0 -
Your going to have to answer a lot of questions about withdrawing this amount in cash I imagine. Probably best to withdraw the max per day from ATMs in cash withdrawals. No questions asked.Halifax says £800/ day cash withdrawals ATM.0
