Lebara cancelling service?

I would like to cancel my Lebara service because I very rarely use their service. Is it correct that there is a £9.95 charge for sending me a registered letter for the cancellation?
or is it a matter of just withdrawing my payment option from my account?

Just turn off the auto-renewal on the app or website.

This sounds like fake news to me.  Why on earth would you need to use a registered letter rather than a phone call, or message through the app/website?
How much the cancellation costs you would depend on your contract.  But unless you've signed up for a 12/24 month contract then you should be able to tell your app not to auto-renew your monthly bundle

Found out I went through a third party company for the cancellation, who are making money with cancellations. Company is xpendy. Lebara have confirmed it's just a matter of disabling auto renewal.
  • Never heard of xpendy, but their trustpilot reviews don't look great!

Even the 5 star reviews shown on that page are complaints - not sure why they've given 5 stars in that case...

Their site has "robbing xxxxxxxxs" written all over it !
Last month, over 15,000 customers chose to unsubscribe their subscriptions through Xpendy
    Just why ?
