I'm with the co-op or should that be Co-op and the biggest scam giveaway is the rates offered on the letter as their rates are awful all day everyday 😁
However it's quite a good quality scam letter having said that it may suprise some but coop have moved into the modern world they even allow me an app to do all my banking and I can't remember the last time they sent me a letter except for a replacement card, it's very rare.
They did once call me from their branch out of the blue a few years ago i missed the call and called the number back and they said they were from the nearby branch, obviously I was a cautious but the women sounded local, I asked what it was for she said they would like me to come in and talk to them about opening a savings account I laughed and said your rates are rubbish and I can see them online and we agreed I won't be going to the branch! From memory I had about 5k in there so their systems obviously got excited, however ive moved significant amounts via them in the past few years and never heard a word since

7% £250/mth regular saver isn't too shabby.mr_accountant said:I'm with the co-op or should that be Co-op and the biggest scam giveaway is the rates offered on the letter as their rates are awful all day everyday 😁3 -
You're lucky then! I went full online with Co-op in 1999 when they first offered it, along with joining Smile too, and they are seemingly stuck on using paper. It is much better, but the 7% savers seem to insist on written letters to confirm application, confirm open, and then confirm transfer into a standard savings account. The annual credit card statements have only very recently finally gone online (even Smile, the "internet" bank sent one of these bits of paper out every year until last year), and I am sure I've had other letters too. Hopefully Coventry BS are finally sorting out the tails ends of getting rid of paper for those that don't want it!!mr_accountant said:I'm with the co-op or should that be Co-op and the biggest scam giveaway is the rates offered on the letter as their rates are awful all day everyday 😁

I've got the latest version this morning. It has all the red flags, as per the original letter posted above. The application line is now:TO APPLY, EMAIL: APPLY@RAISINSAVE.COM (in red text)I did a 'who is' on the raisinsave.com domain and it was only registered in the last few weeks.I called Co-op Bank and they were aware of it, but it looks like a new mailing.I have replied, so I'm waiting for a response. I might have some fun with them.4kWp, Panels: 16 Hyundai HIS250MG, Inverter: SMA Sunny Boy 4000TLLocation: Bedford, Roof: South East facing, 20 degree pitch20kWh Pylontech US5000 batteries, Lux AC inverter,Skoda Enyaq iV80, TADO Central Heating control2

I've strung a few scammers along in my time but I hope you've used a disposable, or at least no longer needed, email address? Whatever you've used is going onto a "marks list" and will get shotgunned with all sorts of eye-wateringly fantastic offers for the foreseeable.orrery said:I have replied, so I'm waiting for a response. I did use my main address and gave them my mobile number before I'd worked out that it was a scam. They responded with an email and application form sent via Docusign, so I've reported it to the abuse system at Docusign. I don't really get any spam or scam mail, as my email system is trigger happy and pulls almost anything into my spam bin. If they do spam me then I always report it through Spamcop to get their servers placed on the blocklists.flaneurs_lobster said:

A legitimate company wouldn't send a letter telling you could only apply by email or phone. If there was a secure application link, then it would be on the official website and not sent by email.
(If any link would even exist to be sent by the scammers, they may just be trying to harvest personal details to use for nefarious purposes.)0
