Small low cost Android phone?

There is an Android only app that hasn’t an iPhone equivalent. It is an app that I have a use for, particularly when overseas.
Anyway, I am considering buying a smallish Android phone just for occasional use. Most recent models seem huge, not the end of the world, but one that fits a shirt pocket would be ideal.
While “huge” the Motorola G35 (£99.99 at Argos) takes a nano SIM and is 5G, is the right price but larger than I would really like.
The spec needs to include:
5G
Nano SIM
Have security updates for the next few years
Not be from Huawei
Ideally not second hand
Thanks for ideas

There are phones that meet your requirements but they will be from "manufacturers" that neither you nor I will have heard of, of dubious quality and almost certain to receive no more updates ever.
Smartphones have got to 6" (mebee a bit less) and have stuck there. Not aware of a mainstream phone that's less.1 -
You can search by size here
https://www.gsmarena.com/
Click the SEARCH box then ADVANCED and input your requirements.
I've had a few phones from the manufacturers that @flaneurs_lobster is less than complimentary about, all have worked well, got updates and cost probably half the price of Samsung/Apple equivalents.
There are many Chinese manufacturers that aren't mainstream here but are actually massive sellers in Asian markets.0 -

Hard to find reviews of specific models, difficult to drill into detail (VoLTE, WiFi Calling), warranties often non-existent.
Be good if you could give details of the ones you've found that are worthy contenders.0 -
Maybe higher price than you want to pay,but a couple of colours of the Motorola Edge 50 Neo are currently being sold for £149.99 - https://www.motorola.com/gb/en/p/phones/motorola-edge/50-neo/pmipmgz38mq?pn=PB310063GB
A website called GSMarena is good for comparing the specs of phones:
For example https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=13288&idPhone2=13224&idPhone3=11410
You can see the G35 is 166.3 x 76 x 7.8 mm whereas the Edge 50 Neo is 154.1 x 71.2 x 8.1 mm, and for comparison the iPhone SE 2020 is 138.4 x 67.3 x 7.3 mm
Also the Edge 50 neo gets updates until August 2029, whereas the G35 only them until August 2027.0 -
Does it have to be a phone, or would a small Android tablet work?Something like this (just an example, not a recommendation):
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DN11F2K8Or for something similar with phone functions (again, not a rec):

@flaneurs_lobster as in my post and also referenced by @Detail_Merchant, GSMARENA covers just about everything regarding specs as well as reviews.
I've had Ulefone x 2 and a Realme.0 -

Thanks for the suggestions, the local Argos had the Moto G35 in stock, I just picked it up and will report back here once I’ve had a play.
You seem to get a lot for your money and only wanting to use the odd Android only app, it makes a low cost “tablet” and maybe the phone itself might be useful… for £100 I don’t expect it to be a stellar performer.0
