We have just moved to Lebara from O2, quite impressed so far and as others have mentioned only 30 day contract (would not go near O2 ever again)1

So i tried Vodafone 1 more time and they arent giving me anywhere near enough of a good deal. (£18 for 50GB they did offer, but I dont use more than 20GB and what a price under £10). So, I'll be leaving....
I've been with Vodafone since year dot... so i've never actually had to deal with a switch between operators....
How does this work?
My deal ends Dec 2nd.... if i cancel now it will cost about £5.... so im not worried about paying the £5.... but i dont want to wait til Dec 3rd in case they charge me a month.... and i did think of waiting til Black Friday....
So what do i do to switch? do i just give the new provider the PUK code and they port my number over?
Thanks!0 -
If you've completed the minimum term on your current Vodafone contract then you can cancel at any time with a PAC given to a new supplier, without notice. Any part-month that you've paid in advance will be refunded (so don't go cancelling any direct debit).collinsca said:So i tried Vodafone 1 more time and they arent giving me anywhere near enough of a good deal. Get the new provider signed up, get the new SIM activated and working in a phone, make sure that it works OK and the coverage, Wi-fi calling etc is satisfactory.
THEN get the PAC (not PUK) from Vodafone and give it to the new provider.

Just to throw another provider into the mix, I personally rate Smarty. They also run off the Three network and are currently offering 50GB for £8 a month. They also allow free roaming in the EU.0

thanks both.
So, i have an i-phone 12 mini...
whats all this about "e-sims".... do i need a physical SIM?0 -
The iPhone 12 mini accepts esims according to Google. Therefore, you could have an esim instead of a physical sim. There's no real benefit to using one over another. I guess if you're familiar with the tried and trusted physical sim, just use that.collinsca said:thanks both.

I would move to Lebara they are doing £1.30 a month for 8 months then £6.90 a month after that. No annual price rises, unlimited mins and texts and 35GB data plus 100 International mins and 30GB EU roaming (comes out of your allowance). They use the vodafone network and are really good. You can port your number too.1

Thanks All - i do fancy going with Lebara (especially as uses Vodafone. 3 isnt so good in my area according to the post code checker).
@steven141 - I can't see that offer on the Lebara website - can you direct me to it please? maybe you've seen the offer on another page? I can see 30GB, uk unlimited mins and texts, 100 international mins - which is more than enough... but if i can get it under £10, even better.
Mind you that is for 30 day plan.
thanks
im really keen for a 12 month or 24 month deal - really dont want 30 days. cant be bothered with hassle of having to sort it out every month.

I've found it now... thanks
35GB Exclusive Monthly Plan
whats the deal with the "montly plan".... is it auto renew? or do i have to do something every month to keep it going?
thanks1 -
Lebara are just monthly rolling contracts with the usual 30 days notice.collinsca said:I've found it now... thanks
