Emailed DQ

Hi,

I sent the DQ via email to the address provided in the pack posted to me by CNBC on the 11th of July this year and had the automatic response acknowledging receipt on that date. I have had a letter from CNBC today stating that I have failed to send in the DQ and I have seven days to do so before they set aside my defence.

Have I missed something? I have followed the 12 step plan accurately as far as I can see.

Any thoughts would be gratefully appreciated.

    Happens a lot. Re-send it.  :)

    And urgent: FIGHTBACK ALERT:

Please do the government's Public Consultation. We need every poster to complete this vital survey before the deadline next week.

    See this thread:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6617396/parking-code-of-practice-consultation-now-extended-closes-friday-26th-september/p1

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.

I've written some guidance to help focus new posters on the issues. I've covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.

Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam over 18 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.

    CLOSES ON FRIDAY 26th SEPTEMBER.

  • Hi. Just a quick update. Mediation failed, oddly enough and today I’ve received a letter from local court for a small claims track hearing by phone on the 28th of January by phone. I thought it was odd that DBCLs solicitor emailed me last week to make a Without Prejudice offer of £60 for a claim they say sits at £264. DCBL has until the 31st of December to pay the court fee or they will throw it out. Is this the normal course of events?

More or less,  expect to see an N279 discontinuation document in your email inbox or spam folder, just before the hearing fee is due

Evening. I just wanted to update here that the solicitor acting on behalf of DCBL has emailed me to state that they are discontinuing the case, precisely as you predicted.

So I also wanted to state my enormous gratitude to all those who have gone out of their way to offer invaluable advice and support. I wouldn’t have had a clue how to handle it and probably would have just paid them an extortionate amount of money out of ignorance and fear. Hopefully, if this forum keeps up its fantastic work then DCBL and others like them won’t see it as the viable business model they claim it to be.
    Great stuff! You win.

    ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!

But we can't yet count your success. You will know why not, from reading @Umkomaas' discontinuances thread.

Please put this right for us to count it!
