it will be hard:o :o:o . Bootsing is just so addictive!!! There is now even more temptation coz I have also started receiving the mailing for extra points!!!

I love reading this forum too which just adds to the temptation!! and I cant see myself stopping!!!

For me, the thrill is seeing the points building up on my Advantage card and getting those goodies.:D :D

I thought of setting up a 'Boots Saver account' - one where I transfer the amount saved equivalent to points I would have got for each offer/glitch that I would have tempted to try.

Then at the end of 6 months, use the savings for a reward ???

Do you think it might work ??

Also, think I'll remove further temptation by giving away my mailing too...

Good idea setting up a "Boots" saving account but do you think we will get the same thrill?? Was thinking of posting some "like new" clothes etc on Ebay, decluttering and making money at same time?! never done it before but that could also be addictive?! Better not go off thread or will get barred from this forum sorry !:p
  • Hi everyone,
This is my first post on this message board, please be gentle. Thank you so much for all your advice. I ve managed to buy some lovely things in the boots 75% sale.
I bought some pressies for friends and some for myself.
When I opened the presents I gave to myself ;) I noticed that a couple of them had boots vouchers inside the packaging. For example the no17 mini purse included a 'save £1 when you spend £5 or more', this also happened with the no7 lipgloss present. The vouchers expire quite soon, one is 31.01.08. I have decided... where possible; to take the vouchers out of all the presents as I think it gives away the fact that I bought them in the sale ;) (as the date will have passed by the time I give the presents away) and also it gives me a chance to spend them before they expire.
Does anyone else think this is the right thing to do???
    Thank you

Yes I would def take the vouchers out....carefully as it does sort of give it away as to when you bought the gift:o . Welcome to the forum by the way ;)

On the subject of vouchers in sale items.... I opened one of the Sanctuary round box sets - might be the Pamper Box, I'm not sure, but it has a £3 Sanctuary voucher which is valid until the end of March.

I was very happy :) I love Sanctuary and bought these for me (tried explaining to my stepdaughter that they were presents for me - from me!!!) :rotfl:
    £2.50 with a £3.00 voucher in - can't be bad!

    Hi
Just returned from a business trip to Leeds!
    Had time for bootsing.Great!!

    Got a glitch!!!
    No17
buy mascara £4.75 or £4.99 and get free eye shadow pot.

But if you spend over £5 get free no 17 wipes (ATM voucher) and free 100 points if spend over £5 too (mag voucher). Both these worked as till recognised value of eye shadow even though free.

Better than that though they had no 7 trinket sets with metal container, 2 lip glosses and perfume reduced to 50p!! Got free highlighter (mag voucher), but when went to till the nice lady told me to go and get another 50p thing as 3 for 2 was working, so I got 2 reduced sets and highlighter for £50p!!!!

I love bootsing. It made it worth getting soaked.

One point though- the no 7 highlighter showed up as something funny on airport security machine so meant I had to put my bag through 3 times! So if going on hols with it, put it in the hold, not hand luggage.

    Weird!

Theres also a Save £1 voucher in one of the little 17 purses that was in the sale....would probably work with this too if you get a nice SA.
