I bought a couple of The National Trust Campers Companion sets, mostly for the little toothbrushes and pocket toiletries. I didn't think the bag itself was going to be that interesting. Wrong. Opened one up today and it turns out the bag unfolds into one of the hanging up type, with a hook at the top, three pockets (one waterproof) and a small integral mirror. And the towel/facecloth is microfibre, not just cotton. As a very keen camper myself I think it is a really well designed item, and I can see it working just as well for teenagers backpacking or weekend trips.

Well worth £3.75, if you see them around. Nice prezzie for outdoor type older boys.

Thanks for that, I was going to return mine today as I could not think who it would be suitable for but as it now sounds that good I will keep it until my neice's birthday.

  • Are you sure these aren't old offers? Some of the packaging on the giftsets looks like those from a year or so ago. How did you find the pages, please? I can't get to them from the main site.

I will try my best to explain - here goes:
    search for pampers
then refine search on left by clicking "save 50%" under promotions heading
then above the heading "refine product list" there is a link which says pampers remove - click on remove - it brings up all items that are 50% off.

Sorry I don't know a better way of finding the items :o .
I also found it better to go through all the pages rather than trying to look at individual categories like toys, baby, because for some reason a lot of items did not appear.

    Dear all,
Has anyone has any experience with Boots Expert Hair loss treatment spray for women?
    http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1090693&classificationid=1037299

I tend to loose a Lot of year with every bath (by looking at the drain) and have been using some hair loss products (yves rocher, renee furterer). It does not seem worrying at this stage at all, but I think it IS better safe than sorry in this case.
I have never tried any pills for hair, since I'm not that worried... and am a bit reluctant.

Has anyone tried this spray? It is half price now, so seems like a bargain.

I remember some time ago I got a boots conditioner for thin hair, and it was terrible, since it left residue in my hair, and it did not address the problem at all, since I have quite a lot of hair, not few hair which has to be made to look thicker.

And, not that we are on the subject of hair loss, my OH is beginning to have a higher and higher forehead. Any good solutions for men?

    TIA.

Thanks for the explanation. I still think some of that packaging looks old. Maybe it's just a glitch on the site (especially since the stuff's so difficult to find)...?

My alliance pharmacy had 75% off when I called in wednesday evening. I bought a chrome light up make up mirror with make up brushes set at 75% off it was £3.99. There was just the display one left and one pair hair straighteners at about same price. The lady in there said at opening she had 50 hairdryer sets and had sold them all!

  • Someone needs to tell her that it isn't deducted from her wages!! Some people are so mean and it's only because they can't get away with it themselves that they begrudge others.Wrong thread for this I know but it explains what I mean.I was served by the same SA in tesco a few shopping trips on the run,she started to get picky about which coupons I could use,so one day I intended using a handful so avoided her and went to a different till. She obviously spotted me in the queue, came over snatched the coupons out of my hand and started going through them at the top of her voice "oh you can't use that one and you caaaaaaaan't use that one!!" I was so embarrased!Needless to say I still go in but avoid her like the plague and now I don't get my coupons out until the last minute!lol.
Your no.7 lady needs to get a life! Rant over

:T Truer words were never spoken !! You made me laugh at your "rant" but its so true, her supervisor was happy so why the heck was she bothered !! As you say she should get a life and go Bootsing like us he he :rotfl:
