Nice. I think the dark, not-quite-black colours are good choices. Classy, won't show the occasional rust spot too glaringly, and (importantly if you're as impatient as I am) won't take 500 coats to cover the existing black paint where this it's in good enough condition to paint over it.

So, in the (almost) daylight I've looked over the colour's above, Obsidian Green I reckon.

A picture, to give you an idea.

    Very nice indeed.
The first two colours you listed are stunning, and I think you may be on to something - subtle, understated, but very classy (in a nice way).
Gold balls? Nah - trying too hard. A weathered bronze? Could be nice, but - really - why bother?
I'm sure you've tried standing on the road side, and walking back and forth - what is the main visual backdrop to the railings? House wall? Plants? Brickwork? I think that will determine the best shade.
The purple-brown will, I think, look better against greenery, for example.
How visible is the front door to the road? That Goblin is also stunning - a dark teal? - but will it 'go' with the purp-brown or the others? I find colours sooo hard to choose.

But looking forward to seeing how this turns out :-)

Yeah, I think any colored balls is too much effort and attention to the railings. Drawn more to the Obsidian Green at the moment, but not 100%.

Front door is fairly visible but inside a porch
