Morning y’all. Yesterday I ventured into town/the high street to run a couple errands and drop off some vacation gifts for people. I visited Savers to check prices on a few items and bought a couple toiletries like face cream that I don’t count in the GC. I was looking for Napisan but my Savers doesn’t carry it. It’s £5 for an 800g box in Tesco but I didn’t add it to our earlier delivery order. Are there other stores that carry it and at what price? I forgot to check for a Lidl equivalent yesterday.
I have two other spends to declare from yesterday.
£29.30 at M & S for clementines (2.10), 400g strawberries (3.80), garlic (1.10), canned sardines and mackerel (2.40), 2 baked beans (45p each), and the curry dine in deal of 2 mains and 2 sides (15.00). Mr. Jings requested a warming curry for his dinner and wanted to take another for lunch today too. Once we get our heads around post-vacation cooking, I’ll make curries at home again for much cheaper.
£25.29 next spent at Lidl for pretty much stocking up on soup making supplies. Leeks (95p), 1kg bag of mixed peppers (1.99), loose carrots (26p), celery (49p), fresh thyme (52p), cherry tomatoes (79p), 850g smoked ham hough (only 2.79!), 640g lamb leg chops (8.49), Polish sausage (3.99), 15 free range eggs (2.69), 2 packs of oat cakes (1.38), and a box of crackers (95p)
£176.63 / £325 spent. £148.37 remaining.
Alright, we are well and truly stocked up for the next week or more with plenty of fruit, veg, and meat. I’ll start working on my stocktaking today. Have a good day everyone!

@JingsMyBucket - according to Trolley.co.uk Morrisons is the cheapest to get Napisan. Currently on offer at £4.50 with usual price being £4.75.

Thanks for looking that up @joedenise. I’m thinking about using some for a few of our clothes that have a bit of lingering funk in the armpits even though we’re using the Dettol laundry cleanser.2

@JingsMyBucket or you could try washing soda crystals (DriPak) as an alternative which are £2 a kilo in most placesSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £10,020.92 out of £6000 after September

Thanks @Suffolk_lass for that suggestion. I saw soda crystals in Saver yesterday actually. Maybe a soaking combination of Dettol laundry cleanser and soda crystals may shift the funk. 🎶🎵 😂2
