    LINDA recommends the Honeywell CM67

    http://content.honeywell.com/uk/homes/programm.htm#CM67

Got one at mums and at a friends house, work very well with up to 6 temperature settings per day.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

We had a new Vaillant boiler put in earlier this year, and went for the Vaillant wireless thermostat controls - a big mistake! Very sophisticated, very complicated and very fault prone. In theory you could set it to do anything at anytime on any day (even take the dog for a walk). In practice it had a big problem even talking to the boiler most of the 3 months we suffered it. Our installer tried various siting positions without any permanent success, and I finished up with the thermostat unit propped up in front of the boiler (where it worked happily maintaining the selected temperature/time profile in the laundry room!). We had Vaillant out 3 times when they replaced the control unit, the thermostat unit and something else but in the end they said they did have these sort of problems sometimes and they could offer no solution other than a refund, which we took (the boiler itself by the way is brilliant).
On our installers recommendation we now have a Danfoss remote unit which is excellent. It works in the hall (where we want the temperature control), it talks to the boiler happily, it has a wide range of setting profile options (5 day phases, 7 different days, holiday etc) with easy over ride, and an instruction booklet that you can follow. Recommended!

I've installed two Towerstat ones (one here and one at my in-laws house) and they work really well.

The same model is sold under the Towerstat and Sunvic brands. The Sunvic one is model TLX RFP, the Towerstat one is just called "RF Thermostat".

You can get them from B&Q, Heating Controls Online and a few other places. See:

    http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav/nav.jsp?isSearch=true&fh_search=TLX+RFP&selected=products&x=22&y=12

    They are around £55.

    Cheers.
    Bob.

We have a Danfoss. Was put in about 2 years ago and connected to our existing vaillent boiler. Didnt fit it myself so cant say how easy it was but the builders decribed it as one of the rare pieces of kit they come across that has about 4 lines of instructions which if you follow it all works 100% first time round. In fact they went back the next day to get one for their house.
My only concern at the time was battery life and faffing around if I had to change them but they have not needed changing yet.
Ours has the day split into 7 zones and you can have different settings for each day as well so more than enough.
Also has a very easy manual overide so if you are working from home during day when it should be set to 12 degrees you just press the button to turn it on.
Also remember reading something about a frost free auto system so your pipes dont freeze and burst???

Its one of those things that you forget about as it does exactly what it ought to.

    Cheers

    I've been Money Tipped!
Drayton Digistat Range (RF1, RF2 or RF3). Very user friendly and easy to install. 2nd choice Danfoss, but are a bit more complicated.

It says RX1 on the main control box by the boiler so I guess that's it.

Sounds to have similar capabilities, the thermostat box is the same but the receiver end is different from mine
