I've had the inevitable price increase from sky:
It's mentioned on the MSE sky section about a maximum percentage price increase (or inflation) whichever is higher. So I had a look in my contract. It states:
Has anybody had this before with Sky TV? I'd be interested to know before I ring up and spend hours trying to talk to anybody with a slight understanding of what the hell in talking about.
Many thanks
Sky Signature - £6.50 increase. So from £31.70 to £38.20. A 17% price increase.
It's mentioned on the MSE sky section about a maximum percentage price increase (or inflation) whichever is higher. So I had a look in my contract. It states:
- During the minimum term, unless it is for a reason set out in condition 11.8 below (where the following increase limits do not apply), we may increase the then standard price of each TV subscription service only once in any 12 month period and the increase will not be more that 10% r the increase in the UK Retail Price Index over the
12 months before we tell you about that price increase, whichever is greater.

The price rise refers to the base price before discounts.
For instance, if you have a fixed discount of £10/month
Base price goes up from £40 to £44, up 10%
Your price goes from £30 to £34, up 13.3%
You need to look at what elements have changed and what discounts you have.1 -
