can i close lloyds current account down online?

i have read that and dose not work, so will go though set by step

Log in to our app.

Select the current account you want to close.

Select the 3 dots.

Select 'Close Account' in the Manage Account Section.

Or

Log in to our app and select Search.

Select Message us 24/7.

Enter 'Close current account' and we'll help you.

I have no app
there are no 3 dots
I cant find manage account setting

I have tried the 24/7 messanger
typed in the above and no reply!

The easiest, and sometimes most lucrative, way of closing a current account it to CASS switch it to another current account.

Although the methods described in the above link will also work. May be the online one might only work on working days / during business hours.

If that is the case then switching may only work the same mon-fri. by switching it also switches the payments I think. So if I have money coming in then it will go to new account and hence any belence or debit will be transfered. I want to stop all payments going in BTW

 select the account

 click on 'Other Actions'

 select 'Close'.
