Octopus 3 Month Rate Change

I noticed Octopus have brought in their fixed September prices.  Does anyone know if it's about this time every month that Octopus bring in their new charges, especially when prices change every 3 months?  Reason I'm asking is that my contract finishes a few days into October on a cheaper tariff, so I don't want to come off it too soon.

There is no pattern. A fix could stay unchanged for many days or even weeks, or it could be withdrawn and replaced within hours.

Recently, Octopus have been bringing out half a dozen new fixed tariffs each month. The current offer is likely to be replaced within a week or two.

You don't have to, Octopus will be able to lock in the tariff you want, but have it start from when your current tariff ends.
