This article makes interesting reading, and shows how careful you need to be with your card details. It's not specifically mobile, but obviously it is related...

They start off by saying the person is tricked into giving the verification code as part of what they believe is an online payment process and then disappear down a rabbit hole of how they can get the code and why a code by text isnt as secure as a code by app which is broadly irrelevant if the person is willing to type in the code into the spoof website anyway. Similarly the person is as likely to click "approve" in app as they are to type in the code to the website.
At the end of the day if the fraudster has managed to get the full card details they already have enough to do online transactions with many weak vendor websites. Adding it to a digital wallet does open up the possibility of in person transactions but then that also opens up the chance of them being caught by CCTV plus fraud resulting from digital wallets is your banks liability. You may be more questions asked on online fraud with the stolen card numbers.
