That MAC address is for a Wifi or Bluetooth chip from Espressif Systems, but their chips are used in lots of different devices so it does not really narrow it down. You could always block it and see what stops working.missile said:Hi, I am trying to check what is connected to my internet.

When this was done in a work environment it was called "scream testing".6 -
Thanks, I am using My devices.
It currently shows 4 Wi-Fi 3 Wired & 2 Offline
3 Wi-Fi are identified with MAC address. I am guessing one will be my iPhone
I am thinking rather than blocking, if I switch off devices 1 by 1, I should see it as offline.
There a function in My devices where I can name each device for future reference."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

machine wants internet access.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Yes, it is mad. Perhaps I am being overly concerned about unidentified devices?

As unlikely as it is, anything unknown could potentially be malicious.I would echo the approach above of disabling it and seeing if anything you care about stops working.

Excuse my senior moment, but how do I switch off an unknown device?"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

There'll be a toggle to disable the MAC address in your router pages (My Devices you mentioned before?). I assume you're seeing 16:EA:11:2E:5B:BC in your router?missile said:Excuse my senior moment, but how do I switch off an unknown device?
If you post your router model number we'll be able to find the manual (it will probably be on Google) and advise.0 -
Not in the Vodafone My Devices app. I could log in and check out the router.
Maybe I should just forget about it?
