Wizzair booking issues

It seems Wizzair started to add "card transaction fee" for UK credit cards. It is only a few pennies, so the amount doesn't bother me. What is a problem however, is that this added fee results in an "overpaid booking" and a request to contact customer services to sort out the refund. Online chat agent informs me that they cannot do that. It is not possible to check-in or add luggage or book priority until this overpayment is sorted.
Anyone else has experienced this?
The only way I was able to resolve this is via refund claim form that took over 3 weeks to process. But now I don't have 3 weeks before the flight in question.
