Broadband price hike renewal

I have been informed that my Broadband (Voneous) will increase from £29.99 to £44.99 t the end of the month. I immediatly cancelled by telephone with a message from them saying somebody would be in touch. I recieved a phone call but I am away so didn't take it.
They sent an email and I sent one back saying unless they could hold my price for a further 24 months I will be going elsewhere.
They agreed and now i get a further 2 years of 500mb for £29.99 per month which is reasonable.

There are a lot of companies who take advantage of customers who are half asleep and just let their old contract roll on. Often new customers get a better deal than existing customer, so if you're happy with the service then you need to phone up to get the new customer price.0
