Cancelling Broadband, can I use an existing broadband ???

Hi all,
I'm moving in with my partner and will be cancelling my broadband at my address.
How do I use my partner broadband ?
I'm able to use it at moment through wifi, will this change when I cancel MY broadband at my address ?

Nobody has to have there own broadband to use the Internet.
When you connect to the Internet you are not asked to login so you are not identified so any number of people can use the connection if they have the password for the router

When you set up a broadband contract you are merely renting an access point to the internet.  This can be used by anyone who has the password in the same way as you going to a cafe and using their wifi by inputting the password written on the menu.  When you go to your partner's you will simply log on to their rented access point in the same way.

same way as you do now - same way as you might give the password to visitors etc

Maybe I've misinterpreted your question but I can't really understand how or why you would think that cancelling the broadband at your old address would stop you using the broadband at your partner's address - any more than cancelling the electricity and gas contracts at your old address would stop you using the fridge or gas fire at your new address?

perhaps BT broadband? they used to have it that you could log in directly thru ur BT account?
