PSA: Vodafone have increased prices mid contract in September 2025...

Just sharing my story because I'm sure i cannot be the only one. 

Vodafone had sent me an text for a contract started in February that my price will rise 33% in September. I had bought the plan contract through a third party (mobiles.co.uk) . Due to some technical reason they had mislabeled the costs and they had the great idea to randomly change the contract price mid year.

Not only is this illegal but nobody really understands that it is in Vodafone support.

I spent 2 hours talking to web chat, after which they said i should contact mobiles.co.uk (even though my contract is with Vodafone and the price increase directly funds Vodafone) or visit a store because they simply don't know what to do.

I filed a complaint and got a call to their credit very quickly, again explaining that i should be grateful that im not having to pay the backdated amount. After pointing out that this is illegal, the rep consulted their legal department only to offer the overcharge as surplus credit.

Whilst this fixed my problem, im sure there are many people out there who wont be as insistent as me, so if this has happened to you, raise a complaint with them and they will sort it.
