Hi
Does anyone know if you have to declare a Junior ISA to UC Money savings and investments declaration?
Im confused as it says
1) we do not need to know about
2) it is not taken into account.
So for them not to take it into account does that mean it needs to be declared and then they just dont take it into account?

No, you do not need to declare them if they are not held in your name (i.e, are held in the child’s name such as a Junior ISA)Where there is sometimes confusion is where a bank will not allow a child to have an account in their own name, so there is a child's account held in the parents name, such as A. N. Mother re Master A. Child. This may have to be declared and disregarded, and hopefully statements would show that it was only being used for the child, not for the parents beneficial interest. Our green credentials: 12kW Samsung ASHP for heating, 7.2kWp Solar (South facing), Tesla Powerwall 3 (13.5kWh), Net exporter2

It's just saying it the other way round. To put it a more understandable way than the DWP does - "You do not neeed to tell UC about children's savings because children's savings are not taken into account by UC."From your screenshot above; try reading it again now that I've underlined a few places:

Ok thanks. So DWP do not need to know about a Junior ISA and I do not need to add a Junior ISA account to my money savings and investments declaration correct?
