DCB Legal Parkingeye Ltd - Queen Elizabeth Hospital Gateshead [Hearing Stage]

Hi,
After having followed the steps in the main thread and additional supplementary threads, I have now received a hearing date for the case, which will be on 01/10/2025. Evidence must be submitted before 11/09/2025.
Here is a timeline of the case:
Claim issued - 18/03/2025
AoS submitted - 31/03/2025
Defence submitted - 04/04/2025
DQ filed by claimant - 14/05/2025
My DQ filed - 11/06/2025
Claim transferred to local court - 24/07/2025
I am now looking for advice on evidence and witness statements that should be submitted prior to the hearing and how to prepare for the hearing.
I parked at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead for an appointment with the usual barriers open and the usual payment machines covered up. Previously, with the old system, when the barriers have been raised it indicated that no payment was required and there was always clear signage explaining how/where to pay. On this day, signs were displayed explaining that a new pay system was being put in place, but it seemed like it had not yet been implemented yet.
I looked around the car park, trying to find how to pay and there were other motorists who were struggling. I went to my appointment because I was about to miss it. On the way out, the barriers were still raised and I assumed that the car park must be free due to a new system being in the process of being implemented.
Then I started receiving the letters from DCB Legal wanting money, which were ignored until a claim was made. The amount claimed is £173 so £258 total after court fees and solicitor costs.
Subsequently, the new system is now in place and new payment machines have been installed and there is new signage now explaining this new system.

I can gladly provide my defence which was submitted if required.
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot!

@Coupon-mad Thanks a lot for the offer to help and the advice you and others give on this forum.
However, today, on the due date of the Claimant's Trial fee, I received an email from DCB Legal with the N279 Notice of Discontinuation.3 -

THEN all we ask is this: We need every poster to complete this vital survey before the deadline.See this thread: -
We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.
I've written some guidance on that thread. I have covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.
Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam 15 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.
CLOSES ON FRIDAY. Just 2 days to go.
