Lloyds/ Halifax ban

  • Too late now, but you could have accepted the basic account and operated it for an amount of time to demonstrate your reliability and then request an upgrade to the Classic account.
The high number of applications has now resulted in the total ban, as others have said. Don't take it personally, you're certainly not the first on hear to get banned by LBG.

95 applications in a year! Blimey. I was thinking that trying 5 or 6 times might feel a bit excessive.
  • Keep on trying, that's my advice. If you increase your applications to two a day I can see you being successful by this time next decade.
  • TSB's online banking is very similar to Lloyds so if you like the online banking from Lloyds I would say that your TSB account would be also the same to use online.
I think you need to accept the Lloyds outcome and try in a few years.

Not anymore. They moved to their own platform years ago now.

Blimey! I'm surprised LBG didn't get a restraining order against you!

Their own platform, but as Naturelover22 says, "very similar to Lloyds".

How long that might last if Santander's purchase of TSB completes is open to question though.  Possibly not very long.
