Halifax rewards acc (& other offers coming to an end) - close the account or not?

Keeping my five for the time being as they are registered with Yougov. Cycling £1,500 through them once a month isn’t a big chore. Although I am getting on a bit myself, my concerns for my executors are quite limited - everything is documented and kept up to date on in a personal finance manager application, and they might as well do a bit of work to get their hands on whatever I will leave behind.1

keeping as rewards, £1.00 balance. £1500.00 in to one, cycle through them all, £1500.00 back out. 5 mins job done. if "rewards" is ever worth having again there's no way we'll get mutiple accounts, even then folk with multiples may have them auto downgraded/closed but keeping them going for now.0

Going to downgrade mine to the basic account.I don't see anyone point in keeping the rewards account as there are no useful perks0
-
My rewards have ended anyway, so I have already downgraded my spare accounts to normal (fee-free) current accounts. All done online in seconds, although if the accounts have been renamed, there doesn't seem to be any way to tell what type of account each one is, unless I've missed it? Under "rename account" you can "reset to original account name" which is the only way I found to do it.

I'll keep mine, at least until the regular saver runs out, and see what they offer for a further RS.0

Hmm fees?
Need to look at this Halifax thing then to see what fees there are as I wasn't aware.
I cycle £2k per month because of the accounts I have that's the greatest requirement so I just run it through everything as it's easier. Maybe that's had me avoiding a fee I wasn't aware of.0 -

To avoid the fee, you only need to deposit £1,500 a month from October 2025 onwardsThePirates said:

The spend of £500 per month on the debit card is a current requirement of getting the £5 monthly reward but this will become redundant on 30th September when the old reward scheme ends (ie the last month for having to "earn" the reward is September; existing entitlements will be paid out in October). The requirement to pay in £1500 or more per month is a requirement to avoid the monthly fee of £3 per reward account, not relevant to the £5 reward; that requirement carries on until further notice.ThePirates said:

Ah right. i do the first two anyway & don't use the account so that takes care of the 3rd which then gives me the 4th then I guess.ThePirates said:
