Letter from HM Courts and Tribunals Service, what to do next?

We have received a letter from HM Courts and Tribunals Service about Euro Parking. We ignored their earlier letters (via Gladstones solicitor) and have since moved out. Any idea how we should handle this or if anyone's been in a similar situation, what they did?

EPS claim via Gladstones,  issue date 15th August,  no breach pleaded

Get the AOS online stage done ASAP,  today if possible,  then follow the advice from coupon mad above regarding your defence

'Stack Shack' is not a private land location in the UK. No town or postcode has been pleaded, let alone the alleged breach!

Use the Template Defence for Gladstones claims. You know, the one linked twice in the Template Defence thread specially for cases with no breach pleaded.

Could you please our point of defence? I will then put this in defence template along with the points we have mentioned earlier.

Our vehicle was only parked at Stack Shack for a few minutes because we mistakenly believed we were visiting “Phat Bun”, a burger restaurant that previously operated from the exact same premises and car park. The layout, location and general ambience were almost identical and the new business was not immediately distinguishable from outside.

We had visited Phat Bun on several occasions in 2021, prior to moving from the region to Stoke-on-Trent. We subsequently relocated back to the Birmingham area in late 2023. Upon our return, we attempted to revisit Phat Bun, unaware that the premises had changed hands and that Stack Shack was now operating at the same address.

As soon as we realised that Phat Bun had closed and Stack Shack had taken over the site, we left the premises without availing ourselves of their services.

We are able to evidence this by:

Bank statements confirming our visits to Phat Bun in 2021.

Documentation confirming our move away from near Birmingham and subsequent return in late 2023.

Proof that Stack Shack currently operates from the same address previously occupied by Phat Bun.

This demonstrates that our presence in the car park was due to a genuine and reasonable mistake and that there was no intent to misuse Stack Shack’s parking facilities.
