Morning all,
I’m on the second cuppa, having joined Round for the first one. A tad cold as I wasn’t up so early, so if you could provide tea in bed tomorrow, Round, that would be great 🙃.I did a few bits in the gh and garden yesterday afternoon. Plenty more to do for the autumn clear up. The grass is starting to recover in places from the lack of rain, ditto the back border.September 5th Challenge - empty out the Bag of Doom that has lurked under the stairs for maybe 3 years or more. It took all of 15 minutes to rehouse a few things (a random propelling pencil??), consign a couple of bits to the cs bag, and ferrliingg the rest.
This morning’s plan is allotment weeding for an hour or so, as the never stop talking chimney sweep is coming so I am making myself scarce, then a bit of TBD. I ought to get on with the paintwork in the downstairs toilet as DH has removed the door. Mighty inconvenient that for a downstairs toilet….😳.
Thanks to Natty, I have found a sparkly notebook in my stash and started a few thoughts on Christmas presents. Not many that I buy for these days, so not too onerous. I just need to get knitting a bit faster in some cases.4 -
Morning all xx
Tea in bed for Fayolle this morning. Your wish is my command my lovely 🤣
Woke up at 6. Got up at 6.20. I just cannot lie in. I want to be up. I need the loo. I need a brew. So. I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in four, only managed one line in Connections, and I'm supping a brew.
Was there a flylady bus trip that I.missed yesterday? Or were you all outside making the most of the glorious weather? Oo. That reminds me: need to set towels and tea towels swishing.
Brew two anyone?

Morning. I'm up early too but still running late! Having some toast and a cuppa now though.
Village event all day today so I've been busy making sandwiches and preparing a cheeseboard.
Wordle in two!Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning
What a lovely week, took Mum away for a little break which was so nice, I now really appreciate the challenges of getting out and doing stuff when you have reduced mobility/physically disabilities. All credit to the National Trust place we visited who were brilliant.
Then yesterday I was a volunteer steward at a local festival all day, on my feet for 7 hours. There were big queues for the loos so I think I was subconsciously avoiding drinking too much and I woke up at 5am this morning feeling hungover!!
DH is at work so it's a day pottering at home, possibly with some decluttering thrown in. I definitely need to do some weeding and some laundry. The first load is in.
I feel the need to make a list!6 -
Morning all,
So lovely to wake up to a cup of tea in bed - thank you Round. Is it a pre-ordering system that you operate, as I would hate to miss out tomorrow 🤣
Glad you had a lovely week, YL.
I am dropping DH at the station this morning as he has a ticket for an event in London. Unfortunately he didn’t check that the Underground was ok (I checked the mainline trains were running but that was all), and there is a strike. He is going to persevere as he has all the tickets bought, but he may be gone longer than intended, and his steps will doubtless be much higher than usual! If it were me, I wouldn’t be going…
Whilst I am home alone, I intend to get the second coat on the paintwork, although for some reason I am feeling hungover too. I am now wondering whether I am also dehydrated as yesterday I realised that I had stopped drinking so much water now the weather has cooled. Must do better. I am stacking up the jobs for the free electricity later, but no doubt will forget or remember too late. Other jobs for today include HHI, making a card for DH’s birthday next week, and meal planning. It needs to involve beetroots!
September 6th Challenge - I thought I was going to have to pass on this one, then found myself culling recipe cards. Not a job on my list, but a job done nonetheless.Have a good Sunday all x6 -
Morning all
Am off to visit mum for a few days, so no flying for me until next weekend - hurrah🙂. The downside being there'll be a week's worth to sort out 😫 on return (the lazy g!t$😠)
Have a good one, see you soon

Towels and tea towels have been swished and pegged out.
I finally wrote my September Challenge List of 30 to dos and I've just completed the second task - and scrubbed the bird bath. It won't be one a day - bare minimum is done on paid work days. But I do have a week's Annual Leave this month and that'll give me some catch up time.
It's a glorious day. I hope it doesn't cloud over - I want to see the lunar eclipse/ blood moon this evening 🤞

Afternoon all. Good job I got up to date with the washing over the last two days. We had thunder and lightning and very heavy rain all morning. It's stopped now but doesn't look particularly settled out there. At least I won't have to water the garden potsApart from the usual making breakfast and lunch and clearing up not much going on here today. DH still not too good so we won't risk going anywhere. Halfway through the antiobiotics so hopefully he'll improve soon.Hope everyone's OK x5
