Morning all,
Up super early - actually I didn’t go to bed but languished on the settee - to drop DD at the big airport for 3.30am and the start of her travels. I am in awe of my child’s bravery and guag. Thanks to Mr G00gle that we got there as planned, as every motorway had closures. I was very brave and just hugged her at the drop off… Back home with the motorways annoyingly opening as we got near (but it did make for a more straightforward journey given the driving rain) and it was back to bed at 5.30am.
Bedding is now changed and in the wm, bathroom to be tackled after I have remade the bed.
As for the September Challenge, I am in the same boat as Pollybear in that a lot of the decluttering is not mine, but there is some that I can tackle. I have decided to use the Challenge to tackle my list of small (or maybe not so small when I get to them) outstanding jobs. Another forum here calls them OATs, outstanding annoying tasks, exactly the jobs that I work to avoid! So, the story so far…
1st - I cleared out and sorted into date / use by order all the hm chutneys and jams which are stored under the stairs and thrown away any that have leaked the seal etc etc. Conclusion - I need to make more cake with jam!! Some of the small new offerings from this year have been earmarked as C-word presents, so I need to start a list for that otherwise I will forget.
2nd - I got quotes for my car insurance renewal, and actually renewed it!! It is due in 20 days so I was in the sweet period. More importantly, I took a like for like policy and saved a ridiculous £150. And it isn’t like I didn’t shop around last year. Going through a comparison site saved me £100 on the same quote with the insurer direct for the same policy. Feeling very mse, although I do have the documents to read through yet again just to satisfy myself.
Sorry for the long post, yesterday disappeared in a haze of haircut and list writing to make sure that DD had remembered the things that I thought were important. She had.
Have a lovely day all.4 -
Morning all (I know it's gone midday but for me it's morning until after lunch).I've done a washload which had an hour in the sun and wind before the rain returned. DH unwell again so I've spent time on the phone and waited for a callback but they've issued a prescription which I can pick up this afternoon. Shopping delivered about 10.30 so that's sorted out and put away. Nearly time to start lunch. This afternoon I'm picking my granddaughter up from school, walking over to the chemist for the prescription, then back here to watch rubbish television and give her some tea.Not much really but it feels like enough!4

Afternoon all
Am a bit groggy as not much sleep - my stupid brain overthinks things and encourages BD thoughts 😫. Will do the bathroom in 10 minute stints and HH on the September 🐸/COD/MAD later. Probably in-between snoozing 🥱
Hugs/spoons/sticks
