Hi all

Happy birthday Round, hope you are having the loveliest day xx

Fayolle I am challenging myself to a month of decluttering.  On the face of it the house looks tidy but there are lots of areas where random things have accumulated and sort of been absorbed into the landscape so we don't see them any more.  

I have started things off with a box of 50 sachets of energy gel, all 8 years out of date.  I have no idea where they came from, I can't imagine DH or I buying them.  They were in a useful plastic tub so I have kept that and put it back in the cupboard empty, for now.

Washing mainly dried outside, morning of paid stuff done.  I need to go back to work at 5pm so I am will do some home admin, some Flying and then try to have some time to relax with my book.

Bern thinking about Septrmber Challenge.  Think I'll attempt to deal with all my started-but-not-finished frog projects.     HH a day seems do-able.

1st project - my cupboard of doom (doom doom doom) in the front room (room room room). 

I've previously (2 months ago? 🤷‍♀️) mostly emptied it, quickly went through it, chucked stuff & put remainder in various boxes for further refinement.   Today's HH will be to finish emptying the guff into another box and clean the cupboard.  

But first, the oven 😬

Hole drilled in top of water butt as water was settling on it, water now runs into the butt, plus it is raining.

Afternoon all.   Happy Birthday Round   Hope you enjoyed your lunch.   I nearly always enjoy something that somebody else has cooked, doesn't happen very often!

I dusted and vacuumed downstairs and up the stairs before we went out this morning.    I did one washload early and hung it out until we were leaving, then brought it in because they said rain.    Didn't rain.

I've not long done a second load and pegged that out so hopefully that will dry.  It's sunny and windy at the moment but we all know how quickly that can change.....

I second @Pollybear, it’s always nicer when someone else does the cooking/buying ☺️

Been super busy today, once lunches were made, various peeps waved off to work and the kitchen tidied to a degree, I went and strimmed/mowed Ma’s lawns. Lunchtime involved taking her to the first of a few upcoming dental appointments, she was an absolute star, especially as she’s really really not fond of going! 😬
Supplies purchased & packed away along with attacking all her dishes, made her go for a nap.
Upon returning home I set out to strim/mow my (& 2 next door neighbours) lawns..
Tidied and swept all paths, mower/strimmer cleaned, batteries put on charge.

Hoovered house as neighbours cute cat had paid a visit and my grumpity toad of a 🐈‍⬛ had a hissy fit and attempted to duff him up 🫣 Both cats spoken to, cuddled and fur removed from their chops.. 🙄

Attempting to make yet another loaf in my bread maker.. we are not getting on well, so it may find its way out onto the lawn if it continues to be badly behaved 😤 🤣

Packed away clothes from airer and put it in cupboard so hallway already looks cleaner.. dehumidifier emptied and switched off.

No idea what to do for tea, I’ve not long had a cheese n beetroot sandwich 🥪 so might just cook for the familam..

Evening all. Happy birthday Round.

All the usual stuff got done today and DGD2 helped me plant daff bulbs.  Kiddie stuff has now been tidied away.

Thank you for all my birthday wishes 😘

I enjoyed my lunch, called at PO to pay the rent and leccy bill, and withdrew cash to pay the window cleaner and the gardener, then went to Mr Al.

Came home to find a cake and flowers on my doorstep. I'd missed a visit from DSil. I put away the groceries,  put my flowers in water, and texted DSil to say thank you. 

A couple of hours reading my book. And I've just showered, changed into my PJs and I'm waiting for Only Connect to begin.

Pops just phoned to see if I'd had a good day.
