I see! I was under impression they would share the result of their investigation.

Yeah, just want my money back, but they've just ghosted me.
Maybe. However there is nothing you can do to force that.

Yes you are entitled to a refund, or at least you would have been if you had taken the item back to the shop (unless they specifically waived that in the reply you did get).

Theoretically you could sue but honestly...........

Leave a factual review on their social media if it makes you feel better!

Go back to the shop and confront the manager.
No need to be confrontational unless you’re particularly wanting to get people’s backs up.
OP could go back to the shop and have a polite conversation with the manager which is more likely to get better results.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Some irony coming to a moneysaving site after spending £6 for bread!

But would defo ask for my money back.
I would suggest that they are not opposed, or ironic.

I dislike low quality bread, when I do not make my own bread I would not be buying cheap bread.

It depends on the quality, unless you want to eat cheap cardboard.

I agree they should have apologised etc but - stuff happens.

You must be quite upset to have gone through all the avenues you mentioned and also posting on here.

Hi all, found blue plastic baked inside a bread I bought from Ole & Steen bakery in London.

Sent the pictures to the store manager, she replied next day, apologised and said they are opening an investigation. She didn't ask for retuning the bread back to the store.

1 months later an not a single reply. I sent three emails, no reply.

I opened a case with Resolver, they didn't respond.

I reported to Environmental Health Officer of my council, they replied "This matter will be addressed".

It's been almost 2 months and Ole & Steen haven't got back to me with the result of their investigation. It's just simply annoying that they ignoring the fact they feed me plastic!

Anyway, shall I just leave it or there are Consumer Rights to hit them back with?
Have you actually asked for your money back - you haven't said so above -  or did you expect them to volunteer it?

Reporting it to your EHO won't help you getting your money back.  It's between you and the shop you bought from

Poor communication from the bakery but nothing to be gained by trying to take it further.  Without the original product there is no actual proof.  We all know how easy it is to fake photo's these days, but note I'm not suggesting the OP has faked anything.

The investigation isn't really to do with you. It is to determine what happened, why it happened and what should be done to prevent that or similar incidents happening in the future.
It is likely to contain commercially sensitive or personal information as well as technical stuff which would mean nothing to you.

One possible explanation of a blue object in a bakery is that it was a blue first-aid plaster. Food premises must use such plasters. Perhaps it came off a worker's finger and got kneaded into the dough where it could not be seen.

Blue plasters can be detected with a scanner. One outcome of the investigation might be to buy a scanner so that baked goods can be scanned before they go into the oven. Or the bakery might already have a scanner and need to review their working procedures.
