Foreign object in food - Blue plastic inside Ole & Steen bread

Hi all, found blue plastic baked inside a bread I bought from Ole & Steen bakery in London.

Sent the pictures to the store manager, she replied next day, apologised and said they are opening an investigation. She didn't ask for retuning the bread back to the store.

1 months later an not a single reply. I sent three emails, no reply.

I opened a case with Resolver, they didn't respond.

I reported to Environmental Health Officer of my council, they replied "This matter will be addressed".

It's been almost 2 months and Ole & Steen haven't got back to me with the result of their investigation. It's just simply annoying that they ignoring the fact they feed me plastic!

Anyway, shall I just leave it or there are Consumer Rights to hit them back with?

What is it you’re looking for? I can’t see you’re entitled to more than a refund. You don’t have a right to info about their investigations.

I see! I was under impression they would share the result of their investigation.

Yeah, just want my money back, but they've just ghosted me.

Go back to the shop and confront the manager.

Yes, you can threaten to sue them for £6 if you want.

I've often done things on principle but even I wouldn't waste much more time for the cost of a loaf of bread.
You only issue a LBA if you are prepared to follow it up with court action. I would think carefully before going down that route; get a grumpy judge/magistrate on the day and you could see a pyrrhic victory - i.e. you get your refund but also costs awarded against you for bringing such a petty case.
In your shoes I'd leave a number of Facebook/Google etc. reviews highlighting the facts of the case and the subsequent lack of refund or even response - you'd hope a reputable company would very quickly resolve this once the issue is made public on social media.

Thanks for the advise, very reasonable.
