Our energy supplier is doing an offer on Radiator Fans. Does anyone have any experience of these with regard to efficiency and noise? I wondered if there would be vibration noise coming from the metal radiator which could quite irritating in a small room.

They will increase the output from the radiator but you could achieve that by replacing the radiator with one with a higher output, if the room never reaches a comfortable temperature. Or you could turn up the flow temperature on the boiler - there would be an efficiency penalty, assuming it is a condensing boiler, but would involve no capital outlay.
As to noise, the fans would probably be similar to those found in computers, which are not generally intrusive, unless being driven at full speed. They'd be unlikely to cause vibration, though.0 -
As suggested above, some might be noisier than others. It depends on what sort of fan and how fast it runs and whether the casing acts like a sounding board.
We used to have a Myson fan convector (hot water heat exchanger with a fan) which wasn't noisy until the bearings started getting worn (but it took around ten years).Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
