I suggest that you study the 8 steps in the defence template thread in announcements, especially 2 & 3Tombrie said:Have now received from the Civil National Business Centre (CNBC) an acknowledgement receipt for my defence.
Waiting for the next stage which should be mediation.2 -
And do this if you can - one week left:
FIGHTBACK ALERT:
Please do the government's Public Consultation. We need every poster to complete this vital survey before the deadline next week.
See this thread:
We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.
I've written some guidance to help focus new posters on the issues. I've covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.
Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam over 18 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.
CLOSES ON FRIDAY 26th SEPTEMBER.

Quick update - to date I have not heard anything at all from dcblegal - no mediation phone call / email nothing.
Really hoping that is a good sign.0 -
Much too early yet, keep checking your MCOL claim history for the next stage , and patience3

I have finally heard from dcblegal and was very disappointed to read that they are still proceeding with the claim against me. They have also sent me a copy of their N180 Directions Questionnaire which they have already sent to the court.
In the email they sent to me they have said if I want to call them on the number given in Section E of their N180 Directions Questionnaire I can ask about mediation. I have copied Section E below:E. About the mediation appointmentIf you do not provide contact details for mediation, your appointmentmay not take place, which could then result in sanctions for nonattendance.E1 What is the name and contact details of the person who will beattending your mediation appointment?Name TBCUK phone or mobile number 020 3434 0433Email address info@dcblegal.co.ukE2 Are there any dates within the next 3 months when you will not beable to attend your mediation appointment?YesNoIf Yes, list the dates you are not available belowE3 Will you be using an interpreter for your mediation appointment?YesNoE4 Do you believe you are vulnerable in any way or require anyadditional support that the mediator needs to consider?YesNoI was under the impression that dcblegal would phone me and negotiate / mediate the claim. They also do not name the person who will attend any mediation. Just states TBC. Their email also states if I wish to discuss mediation I should contact them within seven days. As the seven days will not include the Saturday and Sunday I will need to reply quite quickly.
Any comments / suggestions would be welcome.

That's good - as I thought.
Will wait and see what happens.0 -
They have little or no incentive to back off until the court hearing fee needs to be paid to your local civil court next year, so you should be expecting them to continue to that make or break point next year, not give up halfway through the first half !
They are playing the long game, so play along
The 8 steps in the defence template thread are what you need to follow, and studying a dozen other threads on here that are further along would clarify the situation that you all are in, you will soon see the pattern2 -

.......but it isn't a mediator from dcb legal, they are from the small claims mediation service and should be neutral.Coupon-mad said:A Mediator rings you.3 -
And as ever, this stage is fully covered in the 8 steps and we try to avoid having to post on threads about this early stuff. Spare our time!Le_Kirk said:Tombrie said:I was under the impression that dcb legal would phone me and negotiate / mediate the claim.
