Probate application - "executors named in will"

That is exactly what I expected. The substitute executors have no role, as the main executor is acting.Reclining_Chair said:Well that was a result, I got through on the phone in 15mins! Phoned at 9am. Also, the webchat was available which it wasn't at all yesterday from 11.30am.
Anyway, the answer is...
For the online probate application question:-
"Are there any other executors named?"
You only include the "named" executor(s) (in my case the sole executor); substitute executors (ie. those who only act if the named executor(s) cannot or will not) are NOT included.
This is what I first thought but I decided to check with A.I. and it came to an incorrect conclusion based on the .gov.uk probate website, case law and another link (which I don't recall). None of those links specifically answered my question. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
