Initial Park at Abersoch Village Hall

initial said we had not paid, we provided bank statement showing payment and more than enough to cover time of stay.
They then changed the issue to say we didn’t enter reg correctly, without them providing any evidence of incorrect entry they refused the appeal, but as gesture of goodwill said fine would now be £20.
it’s now with DRP and they want £130 from us.
The car park is an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system monitored car park. Every accessible entry and exit point to this car park is managed by either an entry or exit camera which takes an infra-red image of the vehicle registration as it passes by. When the vehicle enters it creates one image which will then be paired with the subsequent exit image. If the time between the two captures is not covered by time purchased against the vehicle registration from the payment machines or pay by phone application, a Parking Charge Notice will be created and sent out to the registered keeper.
As detailed on the large, BPA approved signage located within the car park, payment for parking should be made against the full, correct vehicle registration. Please see attached images for your reference. In the instance relating to IPL1092597, we can confirm that no payment was made against the full, correct vehicle registration, therefore a parking charge notice was correctly issued.
Upon receiving correspondence from the landowner of the car park, Initial Parking began communications with the motorist. The motorist kindly provided evidence of payment made towards parking on the date in question. Further investigation was carried out to locate the transaction, and it was identified that only two letters from the vehicle registration were entered: “SS”. Please note, all other payments of the same amount made during the time in which the vehicle remained on site were made against full, correct vehicle registrations.
On 24/06/2025, the motorist was advised that their appeal had been unsuccessful, and in line with the BPA’s guidance regarding Major Keying Errors, a reduced fee of £20.00 was offered in order to close the case. As per the advertised terms and conditions, it is the responsibility of the motorist to ensure they make payment for the full and correct vehicle registration mark when utilising this car park.
Within the appeal response issued, full details on how to appeal further to the independent appeals service, POPLA, were provided to the motorist, should they not be happy with our decision. We can confirm that no further appeal was raised with POPLA.
As no payment was made against the parking charge, or further appeal raised, the parking charge remained open and continued to progress as advised on our correspondence. The matter was then passed to our debt recovery agents. The charge remains open and continues to progress with Debt Recovery Plus to date.’

OK so see post 4 in the newbies sticky thread about ignoring powerless debt collectors letters, including DRPL
Come back to this thread if or when you receive a Letter of Claim giving you 30 days notice, followed by a possible court claim pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL in the post
You are now at the impasse stage, with neither side budging ( keep all your evidence and paperwork safe for the next 6 years )3 -

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.I've written some guidance on that thread. I have covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.
Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam 15 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.
If SS isn't in your car reg it's an error code caused by the machine, not you. Well known scam:
