I've just managed to sign up, I was with one of the big 3 but after today price hikes it was a no brainer, must so there exit fee is a little on the STEP side lol0

I’m with EDF and fix ends 30 Sept so no exit fee. The Outfox 24 months is tempting me with a decent annual saving. I was with Outfox some years back and I had no problems with them.Maxwell008 said:I've just managed to sign up, I was with one of the big 3 but after today price hikes it was a no brainer, must so there exit fee is a little on the STEP side lolCan anyone comment on their current service?
Also, is it possible that Energy Suppliers may kill the current fixes at any time or more likely they will hang on to attract switching customers?0 -
Fixed rate deals change frequently. For example Octopus has just launched its 6th 12-month fixed-rate deal for August.oxters said:Also, is it possible that Energy Suppliers may kill the current fixes at any time or more likely they will hang on to attract switching customers?
Today's deal might not be there tomorrow. Tomorrow's deal might be cheaper, or it might be more expensive.N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. I've been with them for quite a few years now and for me their service seems just as good as it has always been - the only minor issue is that they recently got a new website and it is occasionally a bit flaky but seems to be getting better. Just beware that in the recent past they have been allowing people to go from one fixed tariff to another fixed tariff without paying the associated exit fees, but that this is changing (I think it's) from 1st September so that you need to be at least 1/2 way through the fixed period and take out a tariff of the same length before they will consider allowing you to change without paying the exit fee - there's a facebook post about this somewhere and they could of course always change their mind again.oxters said:

The reason for the outage was probably due to the fact that on 27th August OFGEM released the Energy Cap prices for the period 01-Oct to 31-Dec and everybody logged on to switch to Outfox.
You can expect this sort of thing whenever OFGEM announces the new Energy Cap prices - next one will be in late November when the 01-Jan to 31-Mar prices will be announced.0 -
I thought that was why people built scalable websites, with the use of cloud facilities etc?151Taddy said:The reason for the outage was probably due to the fact that on 27th August OFGEM released the Energy Cap prices for the period 01-Oct to 31-Dec and everybody logged on to switch to Outfox.
