Future proofing for EV charger

I am having my garage turned in to a living space, so whilst the work is being done I want to future proof for an EV charger.

The fuse board is in the cupboard behind the weird glass window. And in future I would like the ev charger installed on the brick pillar.

What should I do so I can install the charger easily on future? Run conduit? Run EV ultra cable?

Any suggestions appreciated

Thanks!

You should not be installing an EV charger yourself.

Any advice to the contrary is very dangerous.

Assuming you're not intending to fit the charger yourself (as you haven't said you would), I would really speak to a suitable electrician and see what they say is needed to make the job easier for them. I haven't looked into charging points too much recently, although I'm considering one, but I understand that some consumer units might need upgrading or a separate one fitting depending on what's there already. best asking the person that would fit the unit I reckon, or get one fitted now before prices go up?

Definitely wouldn't be fitting it myself, just looking to future proof to make it easier to install one in future.

Was hoping I could run the cable / conduit and leave it disconnected at both ends but allow for easier installation in future

What is that photograph?  I zoomed in and it looked like a gas meter!

Anyway the location of the "fuse board" isn't really important (did you mean the circuit breaker / RCD/Mcb panel?). Most EV chargers are installed by putting a separate breaker next to the meter where your incoming supply is and then running a heavy duty cable back to your charger location.
As above - talk to an installer.

Choose a suitable home charger, and look up its installation instructions. See what size mains cable it dictates.
In fact, look up a couple tobesuretobesure
Then run the cable as you suggest.
Where will it run from and to in that pic?
When you convert that garage into living space, you'll presumably need a sparky for all the new sockets and lights? Perhaps call one out to quote for this work, and seek their advice for this cable too?

This is the cupboard the other side of that window.

What's supporting the gas meter??? From that camera angle it looks like just the pipework! Isn't the rear plate supposed to be fixed back to the wall?

But don't install the cable for the EV charger, it will always be the wrong spec. Install conduit with a draw wire so the correct cable can be pulled through when installing.

Like others have said just install the duct from inside to outside and leave it roped for future use.It is a good idea to attach a piece of timber to the rope and block the duct with bubble wrap or similar and give it a light backfill until ready to use in the future.
When they come to do install in future, sub duct is a good thing to use but you probably would find it difficult to source such short runs.

Is the gas meter not to close to the electricity meter thought it should be a minimum of a 1M
