How do I now file the defence?

Do I email? (If so, what is the email address?)

Or can I login and submit online?

I'd stupidly assumed there'd be instruction on the paperwork/website
There are instructions on the paperwork but there are simpler instructions in the 8 steps in the Template Defence thread.

I can't get into the MCOL online system as Government Gateway is not accepting the password I thought I'd used. I cannot find a way to reset the password (when I state I've forgotten my password, it emails a code, which I then enter & re-enter the GG ref number. It then sends me to a section of the GG thinking I'm a business looking for advice on filing a claim. It doesn't keep me in the system so if I try to access anything else, it tells me I need to log in. After trying 8 times, it's now saying I need to phone them to get the ID and password reset - but doesn't provide a number (I'm living in Kafka's word right now!)

I've phoned the Civil National Business Centre to explain and they suggested completing a form N9B and emailing it to claimrespones.cnbc@justice.gov.uk. Has anyone else had this problem?

What worries me is that, although I saved a screenshot of the AoS, my dad's had no email or postal communication since. I'm fretting that the AoS didn't go through now.

Yes we hear this a lot. But don't complete a form. Email the AOS first - NOW - if worried it didn't go through.

Then email the defence as a PDF signed & dated under a Statement of Truth.

NOT just the defence in the body of an email and NOT on a form, and NOT without the SoT.

Thank you. Does that email address sound correct?

I also found this Acknowledgement of Service. Does this prove I filed the intention to defend?

No that email address is clearly wrong. You can even see the spelling mistake in it!

Sorry - that's my typing (I've been getting increasingly frantic today!

    I sent it to claimresponses.cnbc@justice.gov.uk

I did double-check the email address in my email and have had an acknowledgment email back

Just wanted to know if that was correct to send defences to.

Yes. Was that the defence (signed & dated under a statement of truth) you sent?
