Due to allergies was thinking about throwing out and buying new pillows/duvets,what should I go for? It would be for a king size bed for me and single size for ten year old. I wash sheets at 40 degrees

Whether you can wash them depends on the fillings... Synthetic ones can be washed, feathers not so much.
